Stairlift & Elevator Repair & Maintenance in Seattle

Fast, reliable repair and preventive maintenance for stairlifts and residential elevators across Seattle, the Eastside, and the greater Puget Sound — from veteran-owned local technicians who know your equipment.

Keep Your Stairlift or Elevator Running Safely

A stairlift or home elevator is something you rely on every day, so when it stops working — or starts making a noise it shouldn’t — you need a local team that responds quickly. Our Seattle-based technicians service stairlifts and residential elevators from all major manufacturers, diagnosing the problem and fixing it right the first time.

Regular maintenance is just as important as repair. Scheduled service keeps your equipment safe, reliable, and compliant with Washington State and Seattle requirements — and helps you maintain the certificate of inspection your elevator needs to operate. Whether you bought your system from us or someone else, we’re here to keep it running for the long haul.

Common Questions

Service & Repair Questions

What we service, what it costs to keep a system healthy, and the one safety item worth checking on an older elevator.

Do you service equipment you didn't install?

Yes, and a good share of our service work is exactly that. We service stairlifts and residential elevators from all the major manufacturers, whoever put them in.

If your original installer has gone out of business or stopped covering the Seattle area, that's a common reason people call us — and it's not a problem.

How much does annual maintenance cost?

Plan on $800 to $1,800 per year for a residential elevator, depending on the system and how often it's used. Stairlifts are less.

It's the least glamorous line in owning one of these and the one that most reliably prevents the expensive call.

How quickly can you get someone out?

Anything that leaves someone trapped, or leaves a household member unable to reach a floor they need, goes to the front of the queue — those we treat as same-day wherever we possibly can.

Routine faults and intermittent noises get scheduled normally. When you call, tell us who relies on the equipment and how, because that genuinely changes where you land in the day.

What happens during a maintenance visit?

A technician checks and tests the safety systems — interlocks, limits, the emergency stop and the in-car communication — then inspects the drive, controls and door equipment, lubricates and adjusts what needs it, and rides the unit through its full travel.

You get told what we found, including anything that is fine now but worth planning for.

My elevator was installed before 2018 — is there anything I should check?

Yes, and this is the one to act on. Residential elevators installed before October 2018 can have a gap between the hoistway door and the car gate wide enough for a small child to occupy. It's the subject of a national product recall and safety guidance, and space guards can be fitted to close it.

If your elevator predates 2018 and children visit the house, have it assessed. We can check it on a service visit.

How often should a home elevator or stairlift be serviced?

Once a year for a residential elevator, as a floor rather than a ceiling — more often if it runs constantly or if someone in the house depends on it daily. Stairlifts are also comfortable on an annual visit.

Regular service is also what keeps your documentation in order and the equipment compliant with Washington and Seattle requirements.
